Visiting Gardens Committee
The Pasadena Garden Club is traveling again!
Fires, Floods, and a Pandemic have caused us to cancel a Visiting Gardens trip to Santa Barbara since 2018.
Twenty lucky ladies had their names drawn by lottery to take this trip, April 12-14, 2022. We have coordinated the garden and home visits with Sharon Bradford the Santa Barbara Visiting Gardens chair. Sharon has done a wonderful job of planning a variety of homes belonging to Santa Barbara Garden Club members.
Will will also have the unique opportunity to visit “Bellosguado” which was the magnificent property of the eccentric copper baroness Huguette Clark. The book “Empty Mansions” by Bill Dedham is recommended reading to enhance our visit. We will end our trip on Thursday with lunch and a tour of our member Francie McCarthy’s wonderful home and garden.
One of the many unique opportunities that the Garden Club of America members enjoy is being able to visit members gardens throughout the United States. You can request these visits by contacting our zone XII Visiting Garden Chair.
Look for Photographs of our trip in May.
